Welcome to Auckland South’s Premier Event Centre
Counties Manukau Pacific Trust was formed in July 2000 after marketing and feasibility studies, commissioned by business and community leaders, identified the need for an events facility.
Trustees have been appointed in accordance with the Trust deed and appointed Richard Jeffery as CEO in July 2000. He has 19 years experience nationally and internationally in venue management, hospitality and tourism, previously working as Director of Theatre and Convention Services at The Edge. (The Edge encompasses the Auckland Town Hall, Aotea Centre and The Civic).
The project has been professionally designed and costs have been constantly reviewed. The Trust has raised in excess of $49 million dollars.
The facility was named TelstraClear Pacific Events Centre and was later renamed Vodafone Events Centre in April 2013. It is a well utilised community asset. It is very important to come together as a whole community to celebrate successes and move forward together. Auckland South has many such successes to share, and the Vodafone Events Centre gives the community the heart needed to achieve this on one of the highest profile sites in New Zealand.
