TelstraClear Pacific Schools Programme
The TelstraClear Pacific Schools Programme is New Zealand’s largest schools programme for the performing arts. The programme is unique to New Zealand and provides quality learning experiences outside the school environment in line with the Ministry of Education’s National Curriculum.
The TelstraClear Pacific Schools Programme is made up of three streams:
EXPERIENCE
Students participate in authentic learning experiences in a professional performing arts environment that cannot be replicated in the classroom. Arts based programmes are offered to year 1-13 students and are in line with the NZ Ministry of Education’s Learning Experiences Outside the Classroom (LEOTC) programme to compliment and enrich school based learning. All programmes in the Experience Stream are free.
ENGAGE
The Engage stream is an arts residency programme led by professional arts practitioners. It offers unique arts rich opportunities to students and teachers as professional artists give workshops within the school environment leading to a showcase event in venue’s theatre.
ACCESS
TelstraClear Pacific Events Centre is host to excellent live and theatre performances, musical, orchestras and concerts all year round. With the support of our sponsors, the Access Stream provides great opportunities for schools to attend these events for free or with discounted rates.
