The Great South Road - Where Cultures Converge

This large scale (10 metres by 5.5 metres) exhibition of photographs by Peter James Quinn documents life along Auckland's Great South Road.

The images were produced while Quinn photographed on contract for New Zealand Geographic magazine and featured in issue 61 of the magazine, along with an essay by Auckland historian Vaughan Yarwood.

This exhibition showcases an iconic landmark and important piece of Auckland's history, its diversity of ethnic cultures and helps put more documentary photography on view for the city's population to appreciate.

Admission to view the exhibition is free and school resource material will be available.
