Venue Foyers
TelstraClear Pacific has four open space foyers which can be used for dinners, functions, receptions and workshops.
The Fisher and Paykel Foyer is a 490 sqm space which serves as the entrance to the Sir Woolf Fisher Arena. It’s floor to ceiling glass wall faces the south and is beautifully decorated with hanging sculptures by New Zealand sculptor Virginia King, entitled Fern, Matiatia Frond and Feather. This foyer has two licensed bars and has a transportable ticketing outlet to suit any event.
To the side of the Sir Woolf Fisher Arena is the Lion Foundation Hall of Champions, a 650 sqm foyer with a massive aerosol paint graffiti art by artists Otis Frizzell and Dan Tippett. This space may be used as an expo hall, a dining area or an ante room serving the larger event being held in the arena.
On the northern side of the venue is the Auckland International Airport Foyer which serves as the entrance to the Genesis Energy Theatre. Also designed with a floor to ceiling glass wall, it has a mural on wood and vinyl on glass, Lalanga, made by 2007 Martin Hughes Contemporary Pacific Art Award recepient Terry Koloamatangi Klavenes. It is the location of the venue Box Office and also has a bar.
And lastly, the ASB Foyer serves as the side entrance to the Venue and can be used as exhibition, workshop or hosting space. Permanent art installations in this area are artworks made by Dr Richard Shortland Cooper (Kowhai, graphic on vinyl and Tui, metal sculpture), Greg Whitecliffe (Pikiao, oil on canvas), Emily Karaka (Waka Alliance I, oil and enamel on canvas) and Terry Koloamatangi Klavenes (acknowledgement boards and aluminum plaques).
